Covenant Information

Beechwood West 1 was established the 1980s and our community has run the Association through volunteers who make up the BW1 board. We aim to provide a facility where all members feel welcome and foster a sense of community and neighbourhood involvement.

When our covenant expired in Dec 2019, the board worked very hard to successfully drive the Special Activity/Service Levy (SSL/SAL). There was a lot of behind the scenes work rallying up volunteers, ensuring members were informed and presenting to the City. Starting in 2020 annual fees are collected by the City of Waterloo as part of the Property Taxes using the SSL/SAL.
